Duncan Stewart | What’s Next

I recently launched a new podcast with Active International where I serve as the Director of Social and Emerging Media.

Called What’s Next this podcast features conversations about gig ideas and innovative thoughts on the future of marketing, media, advertising and more!

The most recent episode features quickfire insights into the ‘TMT Predictions 2021’ report published by Deloitte. Duncan Stewart, Director of Research for Deloitte Canada and co-author of the report, gives us further insight into 3 key topics featured in the report:

  • The continued growth of online medical services, which is providing fairer access for people living in rural parts of the world and changing the healthcare industry.
  • The rise of women’s sports and the vast market potential that advertisers can take advantage of whilst the sector is still maturing.
  • How changing gambling laws in the USA and Canada will deliver huge growth in the North American Sports Betting industry similar to the marketplace in the UK.

iab MIXX 2016

Ladies and gentlemen. Your emcee for today, me! Wow! so much has changed over the past couple of years.

I’m just over six months in as iNvolved Media/Active International’s new Director of Social Strategy. I’m really proud of my podcast, Welcome! And now, I’ve been asked to host and emcee one of the iab Canada’s tent pole events: MIXX 2016.

This year’s MIXX hopes to “explore the meaning of “ME” in the context of big data.” Check out the MIXX 2016 website for details on how to register. The event takes place on September 21, 2016.

Here’s an interview I did at work about iab Canada and this year’s MIXX.

So I got a new job

Many of you may have already heard. But it’s now official (meaning the company has made an announcement): I have a new job.

I recently left Catalyst/Maxus (part of GroupM) where I was managing the paid social business for Nestle Canada to join iNvolved Media (part of Active International). At iNvolved my title is Director, Social Media Strategy. What this means is that I will be leading the efforts to grow the social media leadership and business for the agency.

I’m really excited about flexing these muscles in my new role.
